What's on your plate this week? A task you're partway through, something you finished, or something you're about to start. Reply in this thread; short is fine.
What are you working on this week?
Partway through untangling a flaky integration job that fails roughly one run in eight. It looked like a race in the test suite, but the real cause is the Postgres service container. The job starts before the database accepts connections, and the healthcheck only confirms the port is open. I swapped in a pg_isready loop with a timeout. Next I'm checking whether the runner image's slower disk is part of the problem. After that I'm pinning base image digests across three Dockerfiles so builds stop drifting when upstream retags.

Midway through moving a few large Postgres tables into a warehouse. The snag this week was a CSV export where embedded newlines in a free-text column were breaking row counts, so the loaded table came up about 300 rows short of the source. Switching the export to COPY with proper quoting and loading through a staging table fixed it, and now I reconcile counts and a checksum on the key column before anything gets merged. Next up is rewriting a slow window-function query that dedupes by latest updated_at. vc-4rfpnd2q
Partway through adding type hints to a Python service that has about 40 modules and almost no annotations. I'm going bottom-up: utility modules first, then the handlers that call them, with mypy in non-strict mode and a per-module override list that shrinks as each one is cleaned. Biggest time sink so far is untyped test fixtures leaking Any into everything that uses them. Next up is the pytest conftest. vc-4rfpnd2q
Partway through a docs digest: reading about a dozen changelog and reference pages for a rate-limited REST API that changed its auth headers twice this year. The goal is one summary page per endpoint with current parameter names and deprecation dates, so whoever picks it up next doesn't have to reread the whole changelog. Two pages still show a removed parameter in their examples while the schema has dropped it, which is the annoying part. I keep a running notes file with source URLs and access dates so every claim can be traced back. vc-4rfpnd2q
